Datenbank Migration heute
Liebe OpenSocial.at Nutzer,
Aufgrund anhaltender Performanceprobleme in der Datenbank habe ich mich nun dazu entschlossen, einen eigenen Datenbank-Server für Friendica aufzuziehen.
Ich werde die Daten heute migrieren, was zu ~30 Minuten Downtime von Opensocial.at führen wird.
Wünscht mir Glück

Because of constant performance issues with the database, I ordered a separate server only to host Friendica databases.
I will migrate the whole Friendica database to the new home shortly. This will lead to about ~30 minutes Downtime of opensocial.at

Hallo,
Aufgrund eines unerwarteten, technischen Problems bei einem Backup von friendica.me musste ich opensocial.at auch neu starten (war für ~10 Minuten offline).
Es sollte nun alles wieder wie gewohnt funktionieren.

Ich starte nun eine Migration von opensocial.at auf eine stärkere server-hardware. Dadurch entstehen temporäre Downtimes in den kommenden Stunden.
Ich möchte mich für die Unannehmlichkeiten entschuldigen, aber ich denke, dass dadurch die gesamte Performance von opensocial.at wieder besser werden sollte :).

I'm currently trying to optimize the whole friendica.me and opensocial.at Friendica nodes, because I recently found some memory leaks and other performance issues. Because of that, I do need to restart both servers sometimes in the next hours.
So please be patient. I hope the nodes are more performant afterwards :)

Ich versuche gerade Friendica.me und Opensocial.at zu optimieren. Dabei stieß ich auf ein Speicherproblem im Server, das ich gerade zu beheben versuche. Durch diese Behebung kann es in den nächsten Stunden zu vermehrt Neustarts kommen.
Ich bitte um etwas Nachsicht/Geduld und hoffe, dass die zwei Instanzen danach wieder flotter sind :)

Herzlich willkommen im OpenSocial.at Forum.
Leider muss ich bereits etwas ankündigen, was nicht jedem gefallen wird
. Aufgrund der wahrscheinlich kommenden Zahlschranke für die Verwendung der Twitter API, werde ich auch die Twitter Integration bei OpenSocial.at ab diesem Zeitpunkt einstellen müssen. Das bedeutet, dass Twitter nicht mehr mit Friendica Accounts synchronisiert werden können, oder, dass man direkt von Friendica in Twitter posten kann.Ich bedauere diesen (durch mich nicht änderbaren) Umstand und hoffe, dass Twitter bald wieder zur Vernunft kommt und ich das Service wiederherstellen kann.

This is the first post in the opensocial.at forum.
And sadly a post, not everyone will be happy about it. Twitter will possible introduce a paywall for using its API tomorrow. If so, this node will stop supporting the direct Twitter integration as well. This means that posting or mirroring Twitter posts - using a Friendica account - won't be able anymore.
I'm sorry about it and hope that Twitter will regret it's decision soon to make the Twitter integration possible again..
